North East East North North West South West West South South East How the Assessment Works Vaastu assigns each direction to one of the five elements, and each part of a house works best in particular directions — for example the kitchen in the south-east (fire), the worship room in the north-east and the master bedroom in the south-west. Your report compares your answers with these guidelines and suggests simple corrections where a placement is not ideal. Not sure of a direction?
